Ingredients you’ll need:

Steaks

1 cup soy sauce

3 tbsp olive oil

3 tbsp brown sugar

2 tbsp chili sesame oil

2 tbsp minced ginger

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 tsp red pepper flakes

1 tsp kosher salt

1 tsp ground black pepper

Tools you’ll need:

Royal Gourmet Barbecue Tongs

This Asian style steak marinade is something you definitely need to try. It’s easy to make and really delicious in taste.

First off, you need to prepare a nice and beautiful steak. Skirt steak is preferred.

In a bowl add the soy sauce, olive oil, sugar, chili sesame oil, ginger, garlic, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper according to the recipe. Whisk to combine, letting all the flavors get together well.

The marinade is simply done.

Put the steak in a sheet pan and pour the marinade in. Make sure the steak is all well coated with the marinade. If the size of your steak is small, reserve some marinade for later.

Let the steak marinate in room temperature for 30-60 minutes, letting the flavors impact the meat nicely.

Meanwhile, preheat your Royal Gourmet grill, lightly oil the grates.

While the steak is done marinating, drain and discard the marinade. With Royal Gourmet barbecue tongs, place it upon grill over medium high heat and put the lid down.

It usually takes 5-8 minutes for each side to grill, depending on the size of your steak.

Simmer the reserved marinade for a couple of minutes. If you are using Royal Gourmet gas grill which comes with side burner, put the sauce pan on the side burner. If you are using Royal Gourmet charcoal grill with offset smoker, you can place the sauce pan in offset smoker and heat up without opening the lid. It’s anyway convenient with these thoughtful designs.

When the steaks are nicely done, transfer it to a cutting board and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.

Slice the steak diagonally and drizzle with the sauce.

The soy sauce and chili sesame oil bring the exotic flavor from the east world. It’s a little sweet and spicy, but that were different sweetness and spiciness compared with what we had before. You definitely have to try this special and great marinated steak!
